Our Memorial Day Bike Ride

The kids looked forward to this all weekend. Camping out with Dad in tents, roasting marshmallows and our bike riding venture around noon were all on the agenda. The sky looked questionable so Steve decided to pitch the tents in the garage. This time we all were out there together. Usually I am in the house with "the baby", but since our baby is just about 2 he was all excited about it as well. Steve pitched 2 tents the "guys tent" and the "girls tent". It was fun to watch the rain fall after we all got settled in our tents. We slept "OK". A few of the kids are fighting off a cough, so we heard random hacking throughout the night. I slept so light I heard everything. Needless to say I was still pretty tired in the morning. The next morning we cleaned up, had breakfast and prepared for our bike ride down along the path in town. Steve packed all the bikes in the trailer including the kid trailer that rides behind Steve's bike. We headed down and met Grandpa Gene in the WalMart parking lot and headed out. The kids did great, the weather was perfect, not too hot or cold and a little wind. The picture is taken halfway through our ride, just to ensure we get some smiles. By the end they were pretty worn out.
