I Love surprises, so Steve was bound to get a surprise for his 40th Birthday. The night before I called my good friend Liz and frantically asked her for some ideas. Up till that point, I had not planned on doing anything than just a casual family party at home. I was exhausted from the two previous birthdays that week, but I couldn't let the 40th one slip by. So I called a few friends, ordered an Ice Cream Cake and had them show up at 7:30. A few of the youth kids came early, so they ate dinner with us and we hung out till the others started showing up. It was a surprise to Steve when other friends started showing up and the house became full of those friends and family he enjoys. We lit the black cake with 40 black candles and watched him try to blow them out, needless to say the room was a little smokey and we had to open up the doors. It was a good night all in all.To a great husband, father, son and friend we celebrate with you!
I pray God gives us at least another 40 years together!
