My little ritual the night before someone's birthday in our family is to stay up too late. But what I'm doing is worth it all. I gather the photos I want to display of the Birthday child. What takes the longest is going through each little photo album and glancing through the photos which takes me down memory lane. It helps me think about dwelling a little longer with the kids and not be in such a rush because "time flies", too fast! As we headed to the hospital 4 years ago on April Fools Day, she had a prank for me. Usually when I head to the hospital (at least with the other 3) I deliver them within the hour. She made me wait 9 before she came out, that little stinker! But what a little blessing she has been to our family. I know in the future people will have fun with her birthday being on April Fools Day, but I'm not so creative. For now we'll just Celebrate all day with Alexandria- the Queen of the Day!
